I used to watch All My Children. It went off of the air a few years ago. In place of All My Children, ABC has put a show called The Chew in it's place. I love, love, love The Chew. It is a combo of talk show, comedy show, and all about yummy goodness show. On today's show they had a challenge of chicken wings.
So I just happened to have some wings laying around, so I made some too! They are really good, a little bit sweet and little bit spicy. You should try this recipe next time you want some wings!
- Sweet and Spicy Baked Wings
- Ingredients:
- Wing Marinade:
- 2 dozen chicken drumettes or wings
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Dipping Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon Sambal Chili (I used Sriracha Sauce)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Instructions:
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, toss the wings to coat. Place in the refrigerator for at least two hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove wings from marinade and season with salt and pepper.
- Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and arrange the wings so they are not touching. Brush generously with leftover marinade. Cook in the oven for 40 minutes , or until golden brown, rotating tray half way through.
- While the wings are cooking combine all ingredients for the dipping sauce and whisk together. Serve wings with dipping sauce.
