Mini Morsel Shortbread Bars and Project 365 Day 2
I had been looking for a shortbread cookie recipe. I was looking in the cabinet for something different to make. I found a bag on mini morsels, so I made the recipe on bag. Mini Morsel Shortbread Bars. YUM! Very shortbread-y, is that even a word?! and very chocolate-y! That's not a word either, is it?
Anyway, these bars are delicious and very easy. Those are two words that I love!
Here's the recipe:
1 cup of butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups Nestle Toll-House semi-sweet mini morsels, divided
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in 1 cup mini morsels. Press into an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan.
Bake for 30 to 33 minutes or just until top is light brown. Immediately sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mini morsels. Let stand for 5 minutes or until morsels are shiny; spread evenly. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.
Adapted from Nestle. I am in no way affiliated with Nestle nor am I being compensated for this post.
Project 365 - Day 2
I received this Daily Devotional from a very good friend of mine for Christmas. It was the perfect gift for me, as I want to be more spiritual this year and the rest of my life.
Enjoy! Happy 2nd day of 2013!
